Lest the Earth rise up and smite thee. There has been a couple accidents recently because this basic commandment was ignored. One to tragic consequences and another was lucky to walk away unscathed. Now there where certainly other links in the chain (or holes in the cheese), but the reason the respective accidents happened was due to insufficient airflow in the end. These are good reminders to stay vigilant. Stay safe everyone!

He didn't crash because he stalled. He crashed because he failed to recover from a stall correctly. He did literally everything wrong. There was most likely enough altitude to recover the stall in that airplane.

At least he could have touched down on his wheels instead of wing if he didn't use neutral rudder and full opposite aileron to correct the wing drop.

Right... And don't get me wrong, STOL competitions and such are freaking awesome. But if you're going to do it, insure your airplane and own the fact that you took that risk voluntarily.
