JC Mods and Admin, forgive the intrusion of this link to stuckmic but I created this thread to help those of us looking to work at HCF/OGG/ITO.

I'm trying to get a consolidated list of everyone from these sites together so we can network and look into shared housing to ease the transition - and subsequent trips back to OKC for the additional training..

i heard that we are not off the censored list.....so i don't mind being a bad guy either.

hopefully you do find some interest in shared housing though, regardless! :)

I just have a morbid curiosity about the rationale behind the whole, "OMG! Don't say Jetcareers" thing.

Not like we're going to send the grand army of the republic over to exterminate the alliance or anything!
 
For relatively inexpensive housing and close to the airport you should check craigslist for salt lake, kalihi and waianiae is also a very nice place. A moped is very efficient for town, but im not sure about how safe it would be for the airport area. You are getting COLA so your compensated much better than most private sector employees there. Still you dollars will not fo as far, but if you love the ocean its all worth it.

Haha. That's from wayyyy back when LawnGnome had a little, uh, unanticipated hiatus. He may have forgotten that the filter is on there; think I'll put up a reminder about it in the SM staff forum to see if we can bury that hatchet.
 
i found a couple on criagslist to rent a room from. my gf got a job out their so we are moving out in 3 weeks. just wish i would get a class date soon

wow. You are so much more confident in than I am about this whole process!! Good luck out there! I don't know if I could move before I had my FOL. :) congrats, man!

i graduate xray school in 2 weeks so i will xray in hawaii until i get fol.
