Lynx Ceasing Operations after Labor Day.

Well after working for Frontier in OKC for a while and getting to know some of the crews, I really wish them the best of luck. Really nice people.

Re: Lynx Aviation is DONE - Call sign "SHASTA"

Damn, my sim partner from initial Piedmont training went over there about 6 months ago.
This sucks.

Yes, I know him. Awesome awesome guy. He has crazy stories that you can sit for hours listening to because they're so good. Including a really nice girl in my new hire class... she went over there at around the same time he did. This really sucks. :(

Every pre-acquisition furloughee will likely get stapled. So, anybody furloughed AFTER acquisition will obtain a seniority number HIGHER than the other furloughs.

If I'm reading this right, Lynx guys are likely gonna be AHEAD of most of the Midwest guys.....Or do you really mean HIGHER seniority number? If so, then the whole pre-acquisition stapling is kinda contradictory. The way it sounds, the Lynx guys were active at the time of acquisition, while Midwest guys (most of them at least) were furloughed at time of acquisition. Since Lynx guys were active and were furloughed AFTER the acquisition date, then they get recalled first. Have I got that so far? If that's the case, then they'll have a LOWER seniority number than the pre-acquisition furloughees.

You've got it Steve... which is why SLI is such a nasty business... Especially in this case where you've got 5 different pilot groups (REP, F9, Midwest, Lynx and Mouka-wachamacallit). This is where "career expectations" comes in. Because this was a buyout (in all the cases) and not a merger, it's a slightly different litmus test, but the thing you can be assured of is it won't be fair for everybody.

It IS messed up. It completely contradicts the idea of seniority meaning something. That is all because furloughed pilots are not considered "active employees". At some point, someone thought that maybe it shouldn't necessarily be assumed that they will be recalled and now you've got two different lists forming during the integration: active and furloughed. The process completely ignores the fact that someone who was furloughed could conceivably have a hire date that is before the #1 person on the active list of all the other companies. I have hope that the RAH integration will start to reform the process but I doubt that will happen. There are a lot of careers at stake here.

What is wrong with some of you guys. This doesn't suck as bad as you all make it out to sound. Every Lynx pilot is still going to be integrated. If anything it sucks for the RAH guys because all the Lynx guys will be integrated without bringing any aircraft to the table. The only change Lynx guys should see is instead of flying a Q400 out of DEN they will be on an EMB product out of some crappy out station base.

Depends on WHERE they're integrated is what we're saying. Honestly, I think it's gonna suck WORSE for the Midwest guys.

This may not be such a bad thing for the Lynx pilots. It could be worse. At least now they know their fate and they may have some place to go to when the time comes even if it's at the bottom RAH, Frontier, and Midwest.

These guys are getting integrated from all ive read. They didnt have any length of service to speak of anyhow. Of course nothing is a good deal with this uncertaintly but, the FOs will be getting a "good deal", capts will be getting a good deal if the company is around for a few years. The company has only been around since 2007 I think, which even if given DOH theyll be after most everyone on the RAH list now. Mokulelelelele is not getting integrated.

Even better RAH is flying DEN-GRR for UA.
Happens all the time.
Republic DCA_MCI for example, USairways and under Midwest.
S5 flies ATL-MKE for Delta, and Republic does it under Midwest.
There are to many of these to list, but its not a

Arent most of your pilots on the street after 2007.... I know my DOH at PSA would have kept me safe at RAH... And i know many whom were hired after me at RAH that never were let go......

The  is about I can't believe RAH mainline partners didn't make RAH sign a non-compete agreement. My guess is based on info from the UA flying they know there is a 99.9% that DEN-GRR is going to make a profit. Hell they make a profit if the person flies UA or F9.
