A dear friend of mine, Lynn Penney, past away in early October from cancer. Lynn was one of my first professional colleagues in my aviation career. He was a great mentor, teacher, and friend. He taught me how to REALLY fly the 1900D, my first twin turbo-prop. We flew King Airs together, sought out random hole-in-the-wall diners around Little Rock on a weekly basis. He provided inspiration and guidance through the very beginning of my career and provided a great resource in guiding me to where I am today. With Lynn's personality and charisma for aviation, I wouldn't be where I am today. He never had a cross word, always had a great joke, and a positive attitude. His easy touch on the controls made flying look easy, no matter what. I hope any of you may have had the pleasure of experiencing this great man in your careers as he affected mine. Blue Skies, my friend.
