Felt mostly fine, especially the panel. But hard to feel optimistic when I was by far the least experienced guy out of the 35ish that interviewed at the same time.
Didn't get any word back yet, so looks like i got sent to the decision board if I'm lucky,, not the “email within 24 hours pool”. But, at least they havent said no yet heh.

If you don't mind me asking, how much experience do you have? I have an in-person interview with them in December, and am kind of curious. I'm at 5,300TT with about 4,300 of that being fixed wing, 2,400 turbine, with about 1,600 of that being turbine PIC.

No jet time for me, but multi-thousand hour(s) in medium and large turbo-props.

I wasn't kidding when I said I was the most obviously underqualified/inexperienced guy in the bunch. From the ones I spoke with, assuming your a MAC guy with a good bit of ATR time, your times seem to fall at least within the top half TT and TPIC wise of what I interviewed with...Have fun :D...the tour was actually pretty damn cool, and the "rubber chickens" were a nice touch.
Also the "new sim bay" for those 787s is neat too ;)
 
I can't speak to your interview situation, except I can offer some motivation from someone else I know. They have less time than you, both TT as well as 0 TPIC and they're currently sitting on CJOs from two of the legacies. It is a wild time to be alive, and keep your head up.
 
Well i got a CJO from F9, which im ever so grateful for and excited..but LUV was my dream. So hard not to feel a bit bummed as i wait. But thanks :)


I will say, i did feel like an absolute idiot during the panel when they asked "So who do you know that flies for SWA?" and I said "Honestly, no one..." they just went "oh wow, good for you..." :D

Honestly, while I can understand some animosity he may face, and perhaps its due to the "compartmentalization" I mentioned in another thread here, I would happily share a beer with him, and will give that his inputs have either opened my eyes to new perspectives, or made me re-evaluate/reaffirm my own. Not to mention, I cannot personally say I have ever taken offense or personal affront, and my interactions were largely professional or philosophic in nature, and dare I say, generally pleasent....so in that sense, I think he and even CC get a bad rep sometimes. I love new opinions or challenges, and un-animistic dialogue is something I welcome, especially on those long flights...it certainly beats silence.

But I get it :). I am just a bit thick headed I suppose
