Anyone ever disassemble a luggageworks stealth down to the frame? Trying to replace the female adapter on the frame for the J Hook Stabilization strap and can’t figure out how to pop the side bolts off. Not sure if they just pry off or what.

This is the bolt in question.

That looks like either a pop rivet or a rivnut (if it's a rivnut the head your looking for is on the opposite side). If you start prying things off you're going to damage your luggage.

That's a rivet and it won't just pop off. You would need to drill out the middle to remove (and destroy) the rivet. It's not designed for bolts or screws, so you would need a rivet gun and a new rivet to reattach the strap. It's very easy, you just need the proper tools.

Thanks, sucks they designed it like this, especially when it's pretty easy to smash that clip for the stabilization strap.

I agree, those clips are easily damaged or broken. I have one that is missing, not sure how that happened.

It is super easy to drill out the center of a rivet. Also a pop rivet gun is cheap, something like this should suffice. 10 in. Hand Riveter Set

Or you can ask around to see if any of your friends have a rivet gun.

Just a caution to anyone trying to drill out a pop rivet, you absolutely have to punch the "core" of the rivet out before you attempt to remove it. Failure to do so will end up with unintended damage to the structure.
