Luggage for Regional FO?

As a regional FO get the cheapest overnight bag and flight case off ebay and see how they hold up. It's better to replace a 30 dollar bag every 5 years than a 300 dollar one every 10. MY purdyneat has been fully destroyed once and partially destroyed a second time. When they destroy it more slowly the company may not reimburse you. I would hold off on expensive things till you are at a mainline carrier or the very least a CA.

I have a flight kit where I store my laptop (keeps me from having a third bag, which can be an issue positioning overseas). Not always possible if you have to carry Jepps or manuals yourself, though.
