LR-JET SIC

Guys. Enough. A little ribbing and poking is aviation. No need to be bullies.
It's not being bullies. He still has not answered a single question about the job but gets butt hurt over us asking questions. Answer any question and it'll keep the peace. Schedule, pay, anything... don't answer still and tell us your track record of hiring low time suckers wanting to upgrade, and we continue the dance.

BTDT, and I wasn't low time, but was suckered into a crappy LR-60 job.It is now a defunct company because the owner killed himself and a couple of medical professionals on board. I don't recommend going to that type of company as a low time guy. He (the owner) tried to kill me on a circle to land in Aspen, and if it was a low time guy, I can see them auguring in.

That job got me where I am now, but I do not recommend that route, especially for a low time pilot, and definitely in the case of a Lear...

This. Despite the fact that the Lear 35 has become the "entry level jet" due to its price in the market, it's certainly not a beginner jet for a low time pilot to get into.

Since you raise the issue publicly, I'll repeat to everyone what I told you privately.

I'd have a hard time hiring someone that would leave their current position in less than a year with the amount they've invested.
I tried to be civil with you and didn't post anything snarky yet you've ignored me.

Point blank, what is the salary expectation for a typed pilot who is free and clear that is willing to relocate? Blow smoke up someone else's six.

The position is filled. Thanks to the many that sent resumes. There will likely be a similar position in the very near future due to expansion so I will keep everything on file and not repost here.

See the thing I don't understand is that you got so defensive on this posting for no reason. Pay scales are public and I feel like you didn't divulge the information cause you know that you fell extremely short. Good on you to find someone willing to work for whatever you offered them, but don't be surprised when they jump ship after they realize that their time is worth more money.

I understand that in a business there is always a bottom line. But what I don't get is that companies like this always bitch when they lose pilots or get grief on a message board about pay / QOL. You want to silence the haters and keep quality employees? Pay a decent wage, treat people with respect and gratitude and all will be right in the universe. There's something about management in aviation.....must be the extreme A Type personalities or control issues.

I have to say, this thread was pointless within 3 posts. If you really want to know what the pay is, ask. If they don't answer, move on. If someone asked me what pay was, and that was followed by negative comments, I wouldn't answer either.

I will agree that this is probably a bottom level company when it comes to pay though.
