This was last week or so and was supposed to be PHL-IAD but we ended up holding for 50 minutes and then diverting to RIC along with the rest of the east coast. Touchdown, midpoint, and rollout RVRs all read 1000.

edit: I have to learn to embed video

So if a pilot puts the camera there and leaves it and just flies the airplane as normal its not violating the sterile cockpit rules right? Just making sure its legal so I can do the same on my flights.:)

Thanks BobDDuck.

Yep. I mount my camera on a document tray and secure it with a rubber band. Once I start recording, business as usual.

All of my videos were shot "from the jumpseat". In theory, the camera is an electronic device and unless tested and approved, can't be used below 10,000 feet.

I dunno. One of our members here got in trouble for shooting a video, but I think that was because somebody's face was identifiable.

(and of course as I'm typing this, Microsoft Movie Maker is running in the background processes something from the other day... so YMMV).
