Low timer looking for work

A lot of dropzones hire low time pilots. I have seen some that hire people right after they get their commercial. Look for ones that are not super busy or smaller. Start with dropzones that fly 182 or 205 first. (The busier the dropzone, the bigger jump ship you will see so if a dropzone only owns SE piston that is good.) Even better, find a dropzone that also has Caravan and Otter so you can upgrade next season if you want to.

Call them, get in touch and be persistent. Turnover is usually pretty high so follow up and stay on the radar.

Just an update on myself guys I finally was able to land a job! I got picked up to be an FO for a 135 outfit down south, flying a KA. Looks like I will be doing a lot of flying through the rest of the year. I also have a lot to learn about 135 ops and the airplane itself. This is sort of a dream come true for me as I have loved the King Air since I was just a little kid and I've always dreamed of flying one. Hope all goes well for everyone looking for jobs out there!

Cheers

Hey,

Love your story and how it works out. Survey gigs are cool, but getting right into a KA is just as cool (or a tad cooler.)

I really want to know how you found that job. Please do tell??

@flyinghedgehog I found it on one of the orange site. Don't shoot me:eek2: but that was after months of reading on here the other forum and checking those boards. I do know that Tradewind aviation is hiring, told a buddy about them on Monday or Tuesday of last week he had an interview on Thursday and got the offer on Friday afternoon. ( http://www.flytradewind.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Job-Listing-PC12-Pilot-1st-Officers.pdf ). I will say that decathlon in your sit looks wicked fun to go flying in. If only I had my tail wheel

Enjoy the King Air. She's a fun bird to fly and a great platform to cut your teeth getting multi/turbine experience.

Congrats!

LOL I won't shoot you promise. I don't even know what Orange Site is. I have been trying to look it up but still do not quite get it. Will PM you shortly.

The plane in the picture is a Citabria. She's pretty . I have flown Decathlons too though. Anyways, I want me some twin turbo prop time. Atta boy, so happy for you.

And obviously when they say search high and low they mean it. I generally assume low time job equals jump pilot or survey, glad to see that is not necessarily how it works :D

Congratulations man. Do you recommend any other Job sites besides Orange? I tried tot research the best one and that's the one I decided to subscribe to as well.

Climbto350.com is the "orange site" people refer too. Good luck in your searches.

That's the only one I subscribed too after reading a lot of the forums. Thanks for the support everyone it just goes to show if you keep your nose to the grindstone something will come up. But between here APC, and 350 there some pretty good leads out there. I'll keep the thread updated with any leads I hear about.
