Low Time Pilot looking for work urgently!

I'd CFI it.

I've got well north of 14,000 hours, enough jet time that I stopped counting, but if I was out of a job, I'd go back to being a CFI for currency and mount a job search from there.

The current job market for sub-500 hour pilots is largely non-existent.

What he said. But to CFI be willing to move.

Have you ever thought about instructing? That is a fast way to build time especially if it is a 141 flight academy with contract students. There is one in Texas that has contract students that the IP's build tons of time. If you want more information go to www.usaviationacademy.com

Get your CFI. I might be able to get you a job at American Flyers out of MMU - that way you can be relatively local. I used to instruct there a couple of years ago and I still keep close contact with some of the guys there. They're always looking for CFI's. Better yet, take their 30 day CFI class and if you let them know you're interested in working there, that may pave the way. PM me if interested.

Is that Daren guy still there? I wanna say Daren but I'm not sure if I've got the name right, Daren kicks so much ass I'd sacrifice a goat in his honor. If the English guy who got into a fist fight with his student on the downwind is there I'd stay clear, he's bonkers (I don't care how many great stories he has of his old man in WWII).

haha, That was before my brief time there, however I definitely have heard about some of those stories. There is never a dull moment there...

Where and what school is this? To the posters question: I understand Pinnacle is hiring low time guys - if you went to one of thier schools likw WMU, Oklahoma, etc. I know. I tried and was told unless you go this route, mins are 1000+. Take care.

Not true anymore. Those programs have basically been put to an indefinite halt since all new 9E hires will head to the Saab under 9L's certificate requiring 1000TT. In fact I heard a couple of WMU grads who were hired at 9E with low time on the RJ and then were displaced to the Saab with the shuffling of the new multi-class bid lists ended up getting furloughed until they get the required time.
