Hi, does anyone know of anywhere hiring low time pilots? I have a Commercial MEL SEL INST with 213TT 75ME and 20 hours in a CRJ200 FTD if thats even worth anything anymore lol I'm looking at anywhere in the US I don't really care where I have to go but of course I'd prefer to stay in the northeast close to home (NYC) if that were possible. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

rent a plane and get to 500tt. I would suggest some more multi too about 25 more hours to be exact. find a buddy pilot looking to build time as well. other wise your options are few and far between right now. Get your instructors rating too and build your time that was and get some pay.

Ahh, the old which is better- 141 vs 61... At the end of the day, you're still a 190/ 250 hour commercial pilot looking for work.

It's been said already but get your CFI's and really begin to learn.

I'd CFI it.

I've got well north of 14,000 hours, enough jet time that I stopped counting, but if I was out of a job, I'd go back to being a CFI for currency and mount a job search from there.

The current job market for sub-500 hour pilots is largely non-existent.

Might be a bit late to get on, but aerial imaging will hire guys at your times. They might be done hiring for the season though. Good thread over in the Jobs available section on it.

If you can't get on with them do the CFI thing. I'm preparing for it and not to the checkride yet, but I don't regret it one bit and I'm actually looking forward to instructing now.

McDonalds? :D Sorry. Couldn't help myself.

There are tons of available jobs for sub 300 hour pilots in Florida! You could work as a certified flight instructor, a pilot instructor or even as a CFI. :D

CFI or Skydiving.

Well, FLYING skydivers, right? :)

Uh, well it depends on your patience level and self esteem I suppose... I suppose it would be better for his career if he was flying the skydivers, yes. Just remember, trying is the first step on your road to failure.

I hear there's plenty of opportunities for multi time in old clapped out 310s in Colombia. Not sure who you'd email.

rent a plane and get to 500tt.
God I hope it doesn't come down to that. It took me 7 years to get to almost 250.

There really is a CFI shortage. The school where I work has hired 18 CFIs in the last couple months and needs 32 more! This is great news since an instructor job was extremely difficult to find for most of the last decade.

Where and what school is this? To the posters question: I understand Pinnacle is hiring low time guys - if you went to one of thier schools likw WMU, Oklahoma, etc. I know. I tried and was told unless you go this route, mins are 1000+. Take care.
