Low Time Pilot - Life Insurance options

Greetings,

Did a bit of a fast search thru the archives and haven't found anything conclusive on the topic.

I am a low time ~350TT CSEL very close to being a CFI and getting a full time job doing that. Getting the CFII, and CMEL before the end of the year. I'm 31 in good health and I got married last year and I have a reasonable mortgage ~$650/month. My wife wants me to have term life insurance but several places I have gotten rates of $21 - 30/month pre-qualified then when I obtain the assessment for being a low time pilot the rate jumps to around $108/month on a 250k plan..

Anyone in a same boat as me? I know AOPA offers plans for pilots but are there any other companies out there specialize in life insurance for pilots. Will this change once I become a CFI? Get at the 1000 hour mark, 1500 ATP? Wondering if and when rates usually go down. If I'm locked in right now at $108 a month for 5 years, can I get another plan at a better rate once I get to $1500?

Just some thoughts.
