Low time jobs

CFI??? It is a quick time builder... if you meet ATP mins otherwise, just do it quick to build time and then hit a regional or 135 outfit.

In no particular order of preference, the usually chosen pathways to higher-paying jobs are listed below:

1. Aerial Survey
2. Crop Dusting
3. Certified Flight Instructor
4. Pipeline Patrol
5. Traffic Watch pilot
6. Jump Skydiving pilot

There is also the military...if you have the right qualifications and fall within the age-limit, you may be picked up. There isn't necessarily an advantage in having more than a couple hundred hours. You can never know unless you apply

You could always fly a blimp! http://www.lightships.com

Actually, don't do this. Volunteering yourself as a human guinea pig would be more fun (and probably more rewarding too!).

That looks mildly interesting--aside from the 340 days of constant traveling.... Sounds like one would have to live out of their suitcase for the majority of a year, for three years straight. I'll pass on that! :)

Yeah, that's exactly what you do. I did it for almost two years, and I'm extremely glad to have left. The pay isn't great, the lifestyle sucks, and some of the people you work with............well let's just say they aren't the sharpest pencils in the pack.

It was interesting for a little while though.

Hey Apophis, this is J at Snoopy 2. I agree 100% with what was said from Apophis. Van Wagner is the company to stay away from, they promise good pay only to say oops we made a mistake. Try a $10,000 loss a year, the pilots for the most part are cool, in fact Apophis and I flew together a few times. When they offer you 4 weeks of vacation management will deny it all year.

Before ANYONE picks this job, please PM myself or Apophis and we will give you the full truth.

Hey man, good to hear from you. Hopefully you can get out of there in short order. Every single day I remind myself how glad I am to have left that trainwreck.

Ya, if I had a CFI I would instruct for sure. Currently at 500 hrs. Always checking with the banner, aerial survey, and skydiving outfits in Central Texas. Nothing open yet, but always looking.

If you meet Part 135 VFR then you should look into flying tours, dunno maybe it`s a bit late into the season now.

I got my first 135 job with about that TT.

Or me too, I can give the truth too.

I'm pretty sure all three of us know the real dealings of that company. Best advice I can give is to just stay away. Period.
