Louisiana's New ChemTrail law

So...I guess we are not routing the chemtrail Airbuses (Or are they supposed to be called AirBi ?) oVer Louisiana anymore?

Also, the same Chief Dispatcher at NPA/RAVN who spent like a full hour explaining that Covid wasn't real during ground school also had this theory that these chemtrails are also dangerous.

Look forward to a drunken weekend in NOLA with one of those neon red “yard-long” drinks in one hand and a mobile phone in the other as I walk around and call-up the Louisiana National Guard about every swamp cooler I come across.

Which probably isn’t many because swamp coolers, out of a cutting sense of irony, generally don’t work well in a swamp.

AA has a little study going on with an environmental / governmental / scientific (not really sure who tbh) group where they are studying which routes may contribute to less contrails depending on forecast conditions of the atmosphere and such at the time our planes fly over certain points or areas. So on Flight Keys when you open the flight to begin building your release, there’s the regular tab open with the usual recommended optimal routes based on time / fuel / ATC, but then there’s a second open tab with an optimal route that is forecast to reduce contrails. We compare them and can choose either, however I have noticed often the contrail-free route goes towards bad weather, more turbulence, far of course etc… So it’s often not selected. If it’s safe and actually helps and doesn’t drastically add time or fuel, then we might select it. Not sure how many dispatchers are doing so though. Most prefer to continue and just build their own routes or select the usual recommended fuel efficient / time saving / ATC preferred routes.
