Looks like there's finally an aviation GPS for andriod phone

Anyone try it out yet? 89 Euros seems a bit steep for such basic functionality, but at least there is something out there now.

I assumed he meant for nav (i.e. IFR flight)

Yeah, that. Every handheld aviation GPS I've ever used requires you to click through a disclaimer that basically says you can't legally use this to find your own butt much less do anything resembling official FAA navigation with it. So who cares whether or not its certified?

Yeah, that. Every handheld aviation GPS I've ever used requires you to click through a disclaimer that basically says you can't legally use this to find your own butt much less do anything resembling official FAA navigation with it. So who cares whether or not its certified?

Yup. Especially if you happen to somehow end up with no other means of navigation, it might be nice to have something you could use (ie, the phone app). Looks cool, but too pricey for me, for sure.
