You could drop a warrant officer packet and fly helos in the Army?

Yes, we do have the most helos then anyone. Its also the only branch that you can go street to seat in Aviation.

I went street to seat in the Air National Guard. You can go street to seat in active duty Navy and USAF.

True, but the cynic is me says good luck actually getting picked up or promoting without a 4 year degree.

W1 to W2 is automatic and you can make W3 with no degree. After that though, I believe it's a requirement to get your 4.
It's not a bad option for people to try if you feel like Rotors are your thing. Also they just announced that Fixed Wing is a trackable path and if selected you will only fly FW, never Rotors.

I actually logged back on tonight to specifically ask if anyone knew anything about that. Heard about it today and have been strongly considering it. My immediate goals have been finish school and apply for UPT but with a track able FW route in the ARNG and army reserve that wouldn't be a bad gig at all! And I qualify for it now! The age limitations are more relaxed for it too, so I may just stick with my UPT plan and then go FW Army if I miss my age cutoff.
