Not looking for a flying job, just a job that at least pays enough to live on. Online job sites suck. If you know of a company that's hiring I'd appreciate a heads up.

Get a job as an airline pilot. I heard they make about 150K per year.

No seriously, try UPS, FedEx or something like that... I know drivers that make more than 10th year airline pilots and more than me as well (IT Analyst). Throw enough s h 1 t at the wall and something is bound to stick. Keep applying everywhere.. craigslist, dice, monster, etc. CL has less BS headhunter crap.

What skills or previous experiences do you have?
Degree in Political Science, two foreign languages, internship at a top engineering company.

I wasn't even able to find any positions online for drivers. I too have heard that they get paid extremely well, and would do it in a heartbeat.

What part of the country are you looking in?
Would prefer FL or somewhere else on the East coast. If I can't find anything here, then anywhere in the US I guess.

CIA is always looking, your PSD and languages would be a fit for them. Remember there are more than just spies there.

30k is really setting your sights low. http://www.campusgrotto.com/average-starting-salary-by-degree-for-2009.html thats the average starting salaries from 2009 for college graduates. Not sure where you degree falls but probaly under liberal arts?
I'm just been realistic. I have yet to see a position I qualify for that pays more than that. A lot of them actually pay less. If I ask for $40,000 I'll probably be unemployed for a long time.

Looked into it. Not much of a chance unless you have a masters and your foreign languages are along the lines of Russian or Farsi.

I'll look into it.

I see you're from DC. Do you know what are the best ways to get government jobs? Is USAjobs the way to go?

Yep. Only way I know to apply is through USA Jobs. I'm sure there is a clandestine CIA or FBI job application system that requires a DNA test and a retina scan, but USA Jobs is probably your best bet.

Theres a guy who flies for the FBI who is a regular at the glider airport I fly out of. Seems like he has a pretty cool job. He said you have to be a special agent before you can fly for them. So maybe one day you could end up flying for the FBI. That would be pretty cool.

Yeah, I'm not wanting to be too picky right now. Anything that will get me out of my parent's house will pretty much do.:)

Hey man everywhere in Brazil they are looking for English teachers, have you tried the Brazilian consulate in the US, maybe they have jobs there?

I thought about that (not only in Brazil, but in other places too). I wonder how much a decent school in Brazil pays?

Checked it out. I'm 21 so I'm not eligible (gotta be at least 23).

Well probably not 30K, but you don`t need that to live in Brazil, when I moved there I was looking for a private Portuguese teacher, some told me 80 reais a lesson (2-3 hours), I ended up up going to a Kumon school. There are a ton of places, some private schools like: Wizard, pay around 2000-2500 Reais a month...not much

I will be back in Brazil tomorrow and I will look around, I have applied to teach German and Italian, but all the places told me I need a degree...? I probably speak German and Italian better then any native Brazilian but what can I do?
