Long Cross Country at Night

Well, I've got 2 more things I have to get done before I can take my commercial check ride. The long solo cross country and 5 hours of night solo. I figured I would go ahead and kill 2 birds with one stone and do my long cross country at night. What do you guys think about GMU to CRG? It looked like a safe route with plenty of airports along the way in case I have any problems. Any other route recommendations from GMU or any other general recommendations?

Can you combine the flights like that? It's kind if ambiguous as to whether or not they want them as two individual flights. I'm guessing youre referring to the 100 nm night cross country and the 250 nm cross country.

Log each leg as one flight, not the entire trip as one. Our flight school does this all the time. I just did this tonight. (2-5/2-6) to the people who know what I'm talking about.

We combine the IR 250 NM w/3 diff apchs, diff arpts (afternoon trip out) with the long solo night X/C 300mi- 3 stop(night back-- *duh*-- but it's hard to make it work with noise abatement). We do "supervised solo" with our students for that return trip as well.

Ok, I'll do that. Thanks.

I just did 2-5,2-6 the other night. It is a good way to knock things out.
