Anyone down in SOCAL used Reed or Evelyn DPE for any of the check rides especially initial CFI? Am looking for more information who to use?

Also for FSDO, anyone who use recently?
 
Reed is a pretty chill guy. When you schedule, just make sure you get his "plan of action" outline. Know everything on that and it will help greatly.
 
Use Reed and bring a sixer of Pacifico and you will be in like flint. I did all but one ride with him and have no complaints. Just don't dig a hole or your done!

I've done 2 rides with reed, and 2 with lyn Carlson. Reed is actually pretty unpredictable. I'd try to go with lyn. That's who I send all my students to.
 
Neither can do initial CFIs. Depending on who your instructor is, I'd use RN.

Where are you flying out of?
 
Go to Pat Carey for your CFI ride. Fair, reasonable, and overall a great guy.

I would also recommend Reed for the other rides if you're based out of KLGB.
