You are absolutely correct if, and this is a big IF, he is going to log quite a bit of time in this aircraft, and he is planning on an airline career.

If it's just a ride-along for 10 hours type of thing with an MEI giving him instruction, as described above, knock yourself out. It'll be a great experience, along with a good story to tell in the interview when the time comes if anybody notices.

I do plan on logging a lot of time in this aircraft over the next two years. I have no interest in the regional hiring boom. I'm not in the 50 yard dash to reach mins, and go regional ASAP. I plan on instructing for the next two years, and flying right seat in this airplane whenever needed.

Thanks for the replys. I'm going to start logging the legitimate dual time when i'm in this airplane, and i'm also going to go out and buy a couple hours block time in a baron, and get this ticket knocked out.
