Over in tech section they were talking about logging time..
Now I have a question, has anybody ever lost or had they're logbooks destroyed? If so what did you do? Other then cry...alot
Losing a logbook isn't a terribly huge deal as long as you're able to reconstruct it. Electronic or online logbooks (like www.logshare.com) are good for this purpose and I also photocopy each newly-filled page, as well as any new endorsement. If you don't have such backups, you can use your last 8710 as a record from which to reconstruct.
I second photocopying new pages and endorsements. That'll save a huge hassle of trying to reconstruct it later on.
