Amerijet International, Inc Miami, Florida:<BR /><div><p><span><strong>SUMMARY</strong></span><span>This position is responsible for performing, coordinating, and overseeing aircraft ground services in accordance with Amerijet policy, HAZMAT Manual, and other documents pertaining to loadmaster duties and responsibilities in MIA and other stations overseas. This position performs, coordinates, oversees, and facilitates the following tasks and corrects and reports deficiencies discovered:</span><span><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, but not limited to:</strong></span><span>•Tie-down equipment inspection.</span><span>•Aircraft loading and handling.</span><span>•Cargo buildup, breakdown, and tie-down.</span><span>•Aircraft load planning.</span><span>•Pallet and net inspection.</span><span>•Hazardous materials acceptance, loading, stowage, handling, and pilot notification.</span><span>•Import, export, and other government agency documentation.</span><span>•Customs, Immigration, and other government agency requirements for international flights.</span><span>•Ground security for aircraft and cargo.</span><span>•Staff, equipment, and material planning.</span><span>•Inventory, stowage, and reporting of equipment and materials</span></p> <p></p> <p><hr/></p> <p></p> <p><span><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></span></p> <p><span><ins>EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:</ins></span><span>•High school diploma or GED minimum</span><span>•Certified in weight and balance or load planning preferred</span><span>•Certified in acceptance, loading, stowage, and handling of Hazardous Materials preferred</span><span><ins>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:</ins></span><span>•727/767 loadmaster experience / knowledge preferred.</span> <span><ins>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:</ins></span><span>•Five (5) years prior loadmaster and/or aircraft ground service experience required.</span><span><ins>SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:</ins></span><span>•Ability to clearly communicate (verbal and written) with company, vendor, customer, agency personnel. (Spanish is not required but would be a plus).</span><span>•Ability to work and complete projects with minimal supervision.</span><span>•Ability to type on PC and typewriter and moderately proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and E-mail.</span><span>•Ability to work a flexible schedule.</span><span><ins>REQUIREMENTS:</ins></span><span>•Ability to travel at a moment’s notice. (Passport required)</span><span>•Ability to successfully complete and maintain pre-employment/employment drug screen and background checks.</span><span>•Must have a valid unrestricted US Passport.</span><span><ins>PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:</ins></span><span>•Ability to stand, bend and reach in order to maintain files; sit for extended periods of time.</span><span><ins>WORK ENVIRONMENT</ins></span><span>•Ability to work outdoors all type of weather. </span></p> <p><span><strong>TRAVEL</strong></span></p> <p><span>Must have an unrestricted US Passport and be able to travel domestically and internationally. </span><span>This position requires domestic and international travel up to 75 percent of the time, including staying at locations abroad for up to 30 days.</span><span><strong>ACKNOWLEDGMENT</strong></span></p> <p><span>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed in this position.
