Lloyd, The Frieght Dog. WooF!

It's amazing . . . I wait on the ground for 3-1/2 hours for the courier (who's not on time), and then I'm scheduled to weight, load, do W&B, paperwork, get my clearance and be airborne in 10 minutes. I call dispatch once I'm on the ground and he snaps, "20 minutes late? Any reason?".

Me: First day . . .

:)

Won't be able to use that excuse for long . . .

Right On......Done for the night now, yes? Back at it tomorrow.

But it beats doing circles of Nashville doesn't it? :D

Done for the night, and tomorrow is another day - er - night. It's pretty cool!

Because of the massive construction being done at MKC, the runway is pretty short, with a displaced threshhold, and no ILS!!

Funky!!!

20 minutes late...Holy smokes, puppy...better get working on that. Get your clearance while waiting on a courier, or if on a quick turn, while taxiing in, weight done up to load to figure out easier, paperwork up to load, you ge the picture.:) Congrats on an uneventful first night and have fun flying.

Ah, you'll have it down to a science before you know it!

I think my best is wheels on to wheels off in 8 minutes- and that includes doing the W&B/load manifest before takeoff like a good little freight mutt and waiting 2 min. for the turbos to spool down.

You'll get so good at multitasking that when you get home after your flight, you'll find yourself making a three course meal quicker than McDonald's could ever dream of, changing your clothes, talking on the phone, and checking jetcareers all at the same time! :D

Get good with flying with your knees and you can do most of your paperwork while on final approach.

OK, just kidding.

Do they give you a CG "Whizwheel" or is it all hand and chart?

You don't think a Marine could actually do it by hand do you? Hell, I'm still trying to figure out how Lloyd convinced them that he's a pilot! I'll bet he just walked into the interview, grunted and they gave him a job out of fear for their life!

Oh Johhnie that was bad - and I thought my "can you cook" comment was rough! :D

Yes he's pretty good at that :D

Glad I met him. I'm always glad when I meet a JC'er because the posts are much more understandable afterwards!

I've yet to fight with a JC'er I've met in person. (right Stan? :D )

True dat. Honestly I thought fly22 was the biggest jackass in the world until I met him...and I realized he's the biggest jackass in the world :)

Hand and chart.

Nothing special, unsafe, or illegal. Basically just try to be efficient and don't waste time. Unless things are going to hell for some other reason, it should be no problem to do a 10 minute quick turn on a bank run doing everything by the book after a little while on the line.
