If they tripled their current offering, then I'd start looking at it.There's no amount of money that would persuade me to go fly for a Chinese airlines, none. If youre thinking of just going over there for a few years then coming back, you'd really need to think about what 5 years of seniority would cost you over a career.

Idk, it'd take a lot of money for me to go voluntarily live under a repressive communist dictatorship that is the antithesis of everything I believe and it permeates every part of your daily life there.Dang, it would take that much for you to even consider it? I wouldn't think a few years would be that bad even if it were 500k a year. But then again I'm used to eating top ramen every night and QOL doesn't exist yet for me so it would be interesting to give a try. I don't have hours in any type so that's not happening either way.
Edit: also, I just watched a few vids of americans living in china talking about what it's like, does sound interesting/odd in some parts but they don't seem to say stay away by any means. Idk something different sounds cool to me, I don't have family or anything anyways to worry about so taking a few years to go somewhere new would be kind of exciting but like I said, aint happening haha.

So the reason you, and anyone needs to travel is to find out is this - "USA imo will always be the best no matter what" is not only not true, but it's a terrible attitude to have, even if it was true.I see what you're saying and that makes total sense, that's one side I haven't really looked at other than the views expressed by Americans on 5 minute youtube clips, I know there's way more going on like any other place that I'm clueless over, I was just saying that if it were a year or two that I would be there, even if it ended up being sucky, I guess in my head I'm happy I tried anyway so I can have a beer time story later on and maybe learn a thing or two from itI just really don't like the idea of growing old and not really experiencing a lot of different things such as cultures, lifestyles and language for example. USA imo will always be the best no matter what and it's my home, but would love to get out and see more, heck I wanna find out what real chinese is like compared to panda express
bahaha
I'd be happy if the average American could tell me who fought in the civil war...I don't equate people being unable to put states in their correct locations on a map with not knowing which country is which.
Without looking do you know if Connecticut is east or west of Rhode Island? Is Nebraska above or below Kansas?
You may actually know these, but many, many people won't.
"Know thy enemy"?Idk, it'd take a lot of money for me to go voluntarily live under a repressive communist dictatorship that is the antithesis of everything I believe and it permeates every part of your daily life there.
I'm not fighting that war."Know thy enemy"?
You should hang out with better people or stop watching late night TV.But in the eyes of a normal American it is all china, even japan is china. Heck, Hawaii is china too if you want it to be!Seriously though, I cannot tell you how many people I've met in California that said "oh you're from Oregon? I bet it's cold being above Washington"...... uhhhhh

But China sucks. Maybe not as much as Saudi, but China really sucks.
I mean, you don't use google or Facebook do you? Those are banned.
but at least telling about the communist system, and what it still systematically keeps from its people.
You say this in a way which suggests that Smedley Butler has a guest appearance in US text books re: The United Fruit Company. Systematically keeping unpleasant history from one's subjects is the first order business of governments. Which is not in any way to suggest that the two governments in question are of equal moral value, that's farsical. Still, the pretense that either is without fault on the question of keeping certain things quiet is, eh, well, ludicrous.
It's a very closed minded attitude that you are basing on no experience of other countries. How can you say the US is the best if you've never been anywhere else? Where you're from has no bearing on how good a country is, which is a subjective thing, but being from there is irrelevant. How is that a terrible attitude....? I love my country and even if we have our issues it's still my opinion that America is the best based off of calling it my home. I'm a pretty open minded dude too and want to travel the world and see new places and learn new cultures..... also, I don't think you have much room to talk either if you're gonna tell me its a terrible attitude to have when you just said china sucks based off the fact they're communists and won't pay you the million dollars a year you are looking for....

Here is a song that we need to both play.

China sucks based on going there almost every month for work. Usually a day or so, and only to 4 cities now, but it's been enough to decide that if someone wanted me to deal with that daily it's a million dollars. I mean, most everything I enjoy for a hobby is illegal there. That's not going to work out well. What I'm typing about the hole that is China, is illegal to do in China.
Not claiming at all to be as traveled as this guy, but based on what I've seen so far in my limited travels, the US seems to have convenience absolutely mastered, but as a whole, as a society, I rank it outside of the top 10 for almost everything under the sun. Sheer ignorance places us in the top 10 for sure though. It's a very closed minded attitude that you are basing on no experience of other countries.
