Belive it or not, I haven't been on an airliner since May 2001. Just a few months later 9/11 happened with the same route, airline, and airplane we had used just a few previous months. On the flight, one of the radio channels had the live atc transmissions going on in the cockpit. Now I am going from Ft. Lauderdale to New York with JetBlue next week and would like to know if there is a similar channel in which I can listen to the atc coverage.

they dont have an atc channel but one of the channels onthe live tv gives you a kind of gps readout with alt and gs. i find it kind of entertaining when i fly JB

This will be my first time flying with JB and from what I hear, it will be a good experience.

As far as I know United is the only airline that has an ATC channel on in-flight ents. systems. Now if only Doug could persuade Delta to put in the same thing!!

JetBlue reports I've seen at www.jfktower.com seems to be a good, comfy, relatively luxurious ride. I can gurantee you'll be on an A320, it is the only type they operate. While you are at that website, check out their live JFK approach and tower feeds, also LGA appr/tower feed is now available - just for anyone interested in listening to ATC.

I keep hoping I'll hear Doug on there, but how I'll know it's him I've no idea

Thanks!

Enjoy your flight, I know I always do on jetBlue. I loved watching us on the map it is very interesting as it also displays altitude and speed.
