"Lifeguard"

Me and another line guy did get to ride in their back-up chopper once (a BO-105) as sort of an appreciation flight/ needed to burn a lot of fuel off to do some mx work on it. Both of us ended up getting a 15-20 minute ride around the city. Too bad I forgot my camera that day.

The Blow-Chow 105!!

Seriously, though, we do organ transplant runs and whether we have a team going or returning, we carry the "LIFEGUARD" tag. Time is critical on both sides, and wind permitting, the ATC folks have helped out by "turning the ship around" to let us land straight in. They are a great asset. The Lifeguard mission is a real team effort from the rampers, medical staff, flight crews, and ATC.
