Wondering, how long did it take some of you guys to get your License from the FAA in the mail after doing a checkride? Asking because I did mine Nov 1st and still it has not arrived.

Yeah, I passed my type ride on 10/31 and I still don't have a permanent yet. No big deal.

If you go to the FAA's website and click on the Airmen Certification tab, at the top of the next page it will tell you how far along they are in processing airmen certificates. Currently they are processing permanent certificates for temporaries that were issued on or near November 12th.

When I completed my multi-engine add on to my commercial certificate, I received my permanent certificate in the mail only 4 days before the temporary one was set to expire. It took those lazy feds 116 days to process my certificate!!

This time last year, IACRA processed certificates were processed and mailed within 10 business days. Now it's taking forever! How things change...

I took my ride on 10/31 and I just got it Thursday of last week. (Used IACRA).

When I did my instrument, it only took about a week to get the plastic... who knows. :dunno:

Strange. As I said, I did my ride on the same day and my rating hasn't even shown up online yet. I guess IACRA does make a big difference (I got a standard handwritten temp).

IACRA makes a world of difference.

as for the previous comment about only a week for the instrument, I would think any addons would be quicker than any certificates. anybody got their instrument slower than their private or comm to chime in??

I'll confirm this anecdotal theory when I get my instrument in January :D

Guys, i had my ATP Xride done in november 4th, 2013. Due to internet connection issues, i got a handwritten temp certificate. Do you have any idea on how long should i wait until i get the plastic licence itself? Those 120 days are about to expire.

Did anyone here took a checkride in the same day as i did? Have you got your definitive certificate yet?

I would contact the FSDO if you are within a few weeks of your temp expiring, so they can either issue a new one, or find out what the hold up is.
