I wonder what the surface winds were? From the water it appears to be out of 330. Maybe it's just the camera, but it seemed like there was a stiff wind out of the SW blowing him beyond centerline. That turn to final had me puckered!

New York has some cool visual approaches. I always liked the Parkway Visual at JFK as well.
