Learjet 70 / 75

I'm actually looking forward to the 70/75. We're look to be getting at least one, maybe two next year. I think the avionics are going to be great, better take-off performance is addressing one of the few short-comings of the plane, and I was told (last year) that the pilot seats are being redesigned as well - halleluiah!

I did 7 hours in a 45 the other day. That was terrible.

12.5 of block in one day in the 45 is my record. I still don't think I can feel my butt, and that was like 3 yrs ago. :) I hate those seats. I've been considering getting a memory foam seat cushion to see if that will help. I move the seat up any way, so I don't think there'd be a problem.

The 85 is on track for deliveries in '13 I think. Should have a flying prototype soon. They had to do some thing with the 40/45 line. The avionics still get the job done but with what's out there now they need a refresh. When you can get synthetic vision in a 172 it's time to update :)

Speaking of the seats, anyone have any tricks for alleviating lower back pain on long legs in the 45? We have Oregon aero cushions to sit on, but they still really hurt my back. Guess I'm getting old.

The best thing I've found is to raise the seat as high as it will go, move the rudder pedals forward, and extend your legs. That distributes weight better on your legs, reduces the pressure on the butt.
