Learjet 70 / 75

We were just talking about this on our last trip, wondering when or if it would become official. I still wish they'd come up with an approved retro fit for the current 40/45's. They're doing it with the falcon 900's that have the Primus 1000. I believe it's called the Primus elite. Looks pretty nice. I think it's also in the new version of the smaller Legacy.

It's on the Learjet website. Looks like just the winglets, engines, and avionics.

Meh.

I'll have to wait to judge it person. Those winglets have an interesting outward cant to them. I'll cross my fingers and toes that we can just get a differences sign off and not a full type. A guy can hope.

Agreed. Wonder how hard it will be to judge where the tip of the winglet is while taxiing.

Wonder if they solved the problem of how far back the yoke sits in cruise.

Or if they thought to put a step down in the lav (like Cessna did) so you could stand up and pee like a big boy. ;-)

Yeah. That yoke is crazy. Just set for take off trim its in your lap. If they meet the maint expectations though they might just have a pretty great airplane. They've sold a ton even with the squax that pop up. People are willing to overlook the small issues because it's pretty efficient. It sounds like they're trying to solve some of those problems while making it even more efficient (hopefully).

When I brief people new to the plane I explain the lav is a "sit down affair". Protip. :)

<----- I miss the Lear 40/45. Every now and again, i do a part 91 flight in our Lear 45, great little birdie....

Don't call airplanes birds please. Pet peeve.

Not as bad as referring to some one as a G3, F16, C150 etc "driver". We are pilots. I am sure it's just me but it's like nails on a chalk board. Or calling/referring to the Captain as "skipper". Any other names for captain is fine, its just skipper that has always bugged me. Again, probably just me. :)

Size doesn't matter... Except when it does. I freely admit that I'm jealous of all of you who are able to stand up while you pee in your airplane.
