I am so jealous. No Cevapi yet??
Had some a couple of days ago (somewhere near Plitvice National Park) - good stuff. Almost ordered some today, but the small local place we were at served homemade pasta, and the seafood on the Adriatic is pretty hard to turn down…

Yum dude, I have wanted to go there for a long time......had a flight school buddy who's childhood exchange student friend came and hung with us for a few days in south TX, she was not hard on the eyes. Lived through the slaughter of their war, is remarkably normal, after having watched snipers pick off her neighbors as a kid. Anyway, years later we were supposed to have a port call in Split, and I'd stayed in touch with her and coordinated some activities. Port call got cancelled. She got married and has kids now. Still would love to visit and see, her stories were great!

I assume you're heading down the Dalmatian coast (and I'm jealous!) .... don't skip Šibenik!

In Split I highly recommend the restaurant Villa Spiza ... Andrew Zimmern called it one of his favorite restaurants on earth.
Thanks - both of those look great!

We’ll swing into Šibenik today on our way to Split, and will check out Villa Spiza (looks like our kind of place!) either tonight or tomorrow.

Couple night stay in Split, couple nights on Hvar Island, then Dubrovnik, Mostar, Sarajevo and home. So far a really good trip!
