The 737-200 sim was very humbling. I heard the sink rate, flat warning, and I was like, okay, add a little power.....oh, crap.....more power.....I ended up firewalling the thing and still landed hard.

With the cessna firewalling it can cause the engine to shut off i believe. It's still easier to fly than a jumbo jet and hopefully like my instructor said I might solo in october, i hope it doesnt take longer. How often do you people who are still in training take fliyng lessons? Is once a week enough?I did that for my 3 point landing myself!!! We gonna get the chance to try again this year?

Flaps 45 landings in the bro still give me trouble. I think our ref is at freaking 107 or something. Anytime I see below 120 I get nervous, even though we should cross the threshold at ref plus 10. Heck no we won't go!
If these simulators run on electric power and they know that pilots need to train on these constantly for the airlines, why don't they lower the price, they're not using real jet a fuel they are using electronics, why so expensive? My 3 point comment from the 737 sim was that I bounced 3 times on my 1 landing. When I was training I flew 3-4 times a week. I personally (my .02) that once a week during training is going to be enough unless you have the $$ to relearn items each week. Good luck on the solo.

I'll give you $50 if you could take an MD-88 from off-airway at 10,000 and perform a successful autoland without heavy coaching!
The only similiarity is that you want the greasy side down...
The landings are much more seat of the pants...
"I'm a plane named pullback. Ya gotta say the whole thing!"
I get the impression that our new user "Phil" isn't really a captain...![]()
