No more are assigned to CGAS San Diego anymore?

I can still remember as a kid seeing the CGAS SAN seaplane ramp next to the boat dock being used by the USCG HU-16 Albatross search planes, back in the day.

Nope. All they have are HH-60 Jayhawks. If they get into IMC conditions and have to get back, they use the ILS 9 and then they'll use the street crossing to get over to the CGAS. They also use it when the top CG brass fly in on their C-20 to visit.

Cool. Reminds me of a couple of approaches into NZY that use the SAN Rwy 9/27 LOC, but circle to North Island.
