For you CRJ CA's, Do you guys have a good field of view of the wingtips during taxi?

You can see all of the winglet and probably the outer 5 feet of wing if you plaster your face on the side window.

What usually happens to the pilots in these type of situations? What would happen to the pilot that taxied the CRJ and damaged it?

He will probably get demoted and his punishment will be having to fly a Turboprop for the rest of his life..

There'll be an investigation, and depending on the outcome, probably retraining or an 'unpaid vacation' or nothing at all.

It depends on the circumstances and a great time to breathe a sigh of relief and be happy that you've got legal representation from your union. At least on the CMR side.
