If the tow banner landed in your yard where did they put the plane down? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif They don't drop those things for no good reason....they're expensive

Although there was an incident of an Evergreen 747 loosing an engine inflight - this was a 3 engine ferry.
 
It belonged to an old World War II pilot. He use to tow them with his bi-plane. He had a private airstrip a half mile from my house. Something broke in the linkage, and it landed in my backyard. He was there in about fifteen minutes.

Anyway, I assume that you actually took the original photo yourself? And if so, care to go into any further detail on what happened? What was the reaction from the passengers?

For those of us who tried to go to work tonight, taxied out, cancelled, and returned to the gate ... can we get the pics? I saw one already of the missing cowling, but the linky no - a - worky now.

Ryan isn't too bad of a carrier. Just dumb luck that someone with a camera was in that seat.
