This is why I love general aviation. Every now and then, you come across a gem of an airport like Lago Vista.
Perched on top of a hill just north of Lake Travis, it's a nice approach, a newly paved runway, and several uncommon aircraft. There were maybe 8-10 Fouga Magisters, a Hispano Ha-200 Saeta, a Grumman OV-1 Mohawk. We peaked into a hanger and found an L-39 and one of those older wooden gliders hiding in there. Apparently, a lot of the hangers on the field are now homes (pretty nice homes) as well. I'd love to hang around this airport for a while and chat up the owners!
Oh, and look who I found hiding in one of the corners
