KPHX pilot shop

And the restaurant there is pretty good.

Too bad the Left Seat on the north side of KPHX on Airlane closed, with it's upstairs seating it had; though that was closed off post 9/11. Was right next to my old cargo office.

KDVTs restaurant is good, and is one of the few airport restaurants that has dinner service.....most being breakfast/lunch only.

Anzio's Landing at KFFZ closed about a month or so ago, I heard. Great italian restaurant it was that you could taxi right up to next to the approach end of 22L there. But no more.

The Hangar Cafe at KCHD is pretty decent. One of the last places I've had the big chunk home fries that are cooked just right...with those crispy dark brown edges.

@MikeD, we need to take that 182 for a ride!

The DVT restaurant is good, I ate there many many times and it's reasonably priced as well.

To the OP mypilotstore.com is based somewhere in Scottsdale I would think it's somewhere near the airport but not sure.

Classic Air at KFFZ has a small pilot shop. I'm sure Falcon Exec does too, and Arizona Aviation just went belly up.

I was looking for someplace I could look at Luggageworks. I guess I can wait till I get back to DFW.

I was following you and got your meaning. Was just adding some background regarding some of the other surrounding airport restaurants too.
Oh no, I got you.

Never did eat at any of the other restaurants you listed, unfortunately.

Go to REI and get yourself an Osprey. The whole thing converts to a backpack. Also includes a little backpack that zips on the back.

If it's the one in the little building just north of the pax terminal (same building as Southwest Flight Training Center), it closed about 2 months ago.

The pilot store at SDL used to have a chart vending machine, loved that. They re-opened a store at DVT last time I was there (Apr-13).

If you're trying to get a Jepp trip kit (i.e. without a subscription) use NOS charts, lesson learned. Would love to visit the one at US Airways HQ...

I'm shopping for a PNT 22" bag. Found flybystore.com and will probably go worth them. Free shipping and free extras like monogrammed handle and crew tag.

Funny, the old left seat was next to my old cargo office as well. I worked there from 1998 to mid 2000.

PM Air, then Scenic Air Cargo. Bid out by Ameriflight for the UPS and Airborne Express contracts. Had earlier been bid out by Empire for the Fedex contracts.

I was with Express Air flying both the UPS and Airborne freight. We were owned by a parent company, Sunrise Airlines. I later flew their King Air 200 out of the same building.
