Know any discounts?

Anyone know of good discounts you can get as a crew member? Such as the sweet FedEx discount or the crew discount that I hear Apple has? I figure if someone finds one they could post it here and help the JC community save some coin. Thanks again

The Apple discount is a company specific discount negotiated between Apple and your airline... for example AMR.
So all those PSA, Piedmont, Envoy, and American pilots should have access to the American Airlines Apple EPP Store page just find the link on Jetnet.

For example the 15-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1879 vs $1999. 12-inch iPad Pro starts at $783 instead of $799. iPhone 7s for $636 vs $649.
I think you'll probably get a better deal as a walk-in customer at an online Authorized Apple retailer, like B&H.

FedEx just bring your crew badge into any FedEx shipping location and ask for your crew discount. (Does not work for ground shipping - only air shipments)

There are discounts all over the place. Lots off times you just have to ask. Deer Valley (last year anyway) had an $80 a day lift ticket rate with an airline ID. Best bet is to post the question on your internal company forum if you have one as discounts are often airline specific.

I'd just call and ask. With my company, we get access to plenty of discounted technology, sporting events, theme parks, etc.

H&K used to have a great discount on a USP.

There are easy hotel discounts out there too, if you like to travel.

Vail used to sell you two lift tickets for $55 each by showing your ID at guest services. This was back in 2008 though.

This past winter (as in, as recent as nine months ago) I went to Vail with some friends, some who were airline crew and some who were not.

Not only do they still give a pretty good discount if you have airline ID, but you can also pass that on to one other person.

It worked out that our entire group got the airline rate since slightly more than half of us had the IDs.

That's what we did, nice to know they still do it.

For anyone interested, that doesn't already know, buds gun shop has deals. Commercial pilots (that's what it says, doesn't specifically say AIRLINE pilots) are considered "qualified professionals." Go to their website. Products, special deals, qualified professional, and have a look around. Not sure how good the deals are, haven't checked them against anything else. And it's not on all items, just what's listed, but they do rotate it out from time to time.

Rental cars I've had success with. Last one (yesterday) upgraded me from a cruize to a Camaro SS free. 8). Track mode is where it's at!
