Kingair 200

Got to fly one yesterday. And I must say, that is one fine flying machine. Also got to fly an 800ft ceiling approach into GMU. All I can say, glad I had an experienced pilot watching me. Things move a little quicker than a 172!

My hours in the king air 200 were some of my favorite of my "coming up" experience. That thing can out climb the CRJ-200 in the 20's in the summer! Rock solid, nice and fast, and plenty of room.

Sitting around in the FBO on the other hand... not some of my fondest memories.

Hopefully you'll be able to get more and more time in the King Air.

Cool!

The King Air 300 was my 1st multiengine and turbine airplane I flew- it was alot of fun for an intro flight.

Flew Conquests and the King Air 90 after that randomly, but the King Air series holds a special place in my memories & progression.

Very nice. That was the first multi-turbine aircraft I flew. It is a solid aircraft and decent instrument platform. It is a good stepping stone before transitioning into faster aircraft.

Hope you get to fly it a lot more. It is also kind of cool at night to see blue flames coming out of the exhaust stacks.

Don't forget the ice vanes in icing conditions.

Enjoy and have fun.

Ah, the Kingair! What a great airplane! I'd talk more about it but I have the sudden urge to take a nap...

;)

Good for you, welcome to the Big Leagues of Turbine Flying! Here are your food stamps...

Company I work for was looking at getting a new -200GT and a 350I and fully loaded they run from 5-7 million. Thats a lot of money for a King Air, when there's a ton of great condition used ones on the market for a fraction of the price.
