King Air Pay

Hey guys,

I was wondering what other pilots make flying King Air’s.

I work for a small company 3 King Air C90's, Chieftain, Navajo, Apache, and Warrior. Just acquired a Citation V, but I’m not flying it yet. One King Air is strictly a management contract. Other two are Charter, and both Navajos are charter. We also do some mapping and I flight instruct a little on the side when I have time. I fly 600+ hours a year. Charter Captain on C90's and Navajo's. I’ve been here for just over 2 years. Have 2400 hours and ATP. Right now I make 35K a year. I am issued iPad and iPhone that I may also use for personal. Just curious what do you guys think I should make a year?

Thanks

35K is low for a King Air. That is what my companies' FOs make on the KA starting out. Then it goes up another 10,000 the second year. CAs start around $55 or $60K. And our pilots maybe put in about half that time in King Airs every year. I'd say you need to get a pay increase.

I don't fly a KA90, but we have a similar cabin size, Captains start around 60 and FO's in the other turbo props start in the mid 30's. Most pilots see 300 hours a year or so. Maybe 400 if you're at a busy location. We have ipads in the airplanes and are given a monthly allowance to keep a cell phone. Health care, 401k, etc. I have ~2600 hours and an ATP.

With the added work of flying all the other airplanes, and presumably the checkrides and knowledge that goes with that, I'd say you're being insanely underpaid.

Looking.... Who's hireing? What are these EMS gigs??
You just have to look around. Knowing people in the 135 and 91 world is incredibly important. I'm not even remotely familiar with Northeast operators. I'm sure google can help you out some though.

Did your employer give a reason for no raise? Does he know he's paying you about half of what you are giving him?

Tell whatever jerk of an owner you work for to google King Air Captain pay... Right after you hand in your resignation letter/2 week notice. PM me...
