A couple of others flew through it. I didn't but on the ground in western Indiana it wasn't too bad. Just a lot of heavier rain. Wouldn't have been too bad with uplink weather.
nope, no wx radar or any anti/deicing in this Cirrus.
An FAA examiner and a Cirrus CSIP said we would be nuts to do that trip based on the report. Plus the cold front behind it. We we're supposed to do a quick drop off and return. Which would have put us in it all the way home.
Ugly day. We didn't get the lead in lights until 300ft above mins and only got the runway at 200ft above mins for 5L. Vis was 3/4 w/ freezing drizzle, winds about 20-25kts. Not a nice day.
