You know kiloalpha, I went back and looked at what I wrote on the other site and I'm gonna back track a bit. What I wrote was factual as far as what management folks said to me specifically but there are a few pieces I should've left out on a public forum. Mea culpa. That said I did leave his name out of it and do wish him the best.I actually have a lot to say about this... but since my momma always told me "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." I'll just leave it at that.
Well, my experience thus far has not been the same as Brian's, so I think it's safe to say YMMV.So... Don't send my resume to KL next month when I hit magic IFR mins...

I'd like to think it's true more often than not. I have a hard time imagining DC, SD, or DS lying to my face. That said, it's been said that there are always three sides to a story: Side A, Side B, and The Truth.Because you can ALWAYS believe what management says to be true. ALWAYS.
kiloalpha said:There was recently a huge change in management. We now have a Chief Pilot that actually has your back with the higher-ups so what stories you may have heard in the past are no longer viable.

Note that I addressed that earlier. Yes, there is some bad press, but as I've been trying to accomplish since last June, Key Lime is slowly turning their image around. There was recently a meeting regarding pilot retention, and how management could do better with that. There is a change in the works, but as I see, people are still ignorant of that fact.
When I took this job, I read all the forums, but what I read was "my buddy said" or "I know a guy." So what I did was talk directly to my friends that work there and they laid it all out for me. Everything from the schedule, to pay, to the equipment, maintenance, management, etc. I left no rock unturned. I suggest those interested continue to ask questions and those not interested to please keep it to yourself.
Edit: If people continue to bash Key Lime, I'll ask a mod to delete this thread. I'm trying to help the JC community out. But like I said, if you guys don't want my help, then so be it.

For all you haters out there, I was drug out of JC retirement by a certain nameless individual, just to let the people know that Key Lime is still looking for Navajo and Metro pilots, and due to an extreme change in management, the company morale and outlook has improved drastically. Please read my entire post before replying.

I know there is a lot of hate on the interwebz for this company. With our new management, they are trying very hard to make this company a good place to work. Our CP and DO were both former line pilots. They know what it's like to be out there busting ass to get the job done. If you have a problem or a concern, they take care of it immediately. So much of what you have read or heard from people, even if they did work here even 2 years ago, is no longer viable. I will be open to answering any questions.

Management does NOT push the pilots around. We had an ass of a CP before the management change. Yes, he asked one of our pilots to continue his flight with smoke in the cockpit, which he did. Like I said, with new management, the "old ways" of Key Lime are gone.

Overall the company culture has taken a 180 turn since the change in management . We don't push pilots, we don't ask pilots to take less than required fuel or drop below minimums, or fly broken airplanes.
so, you changed your mind? After you roasted me for speaking the truth about that company...that is rich...well, glad to see that even the blind may see.Because you can ALWAYS believe what management says to be true. ALWAYS.
Dude, if you need Willy Wonka to make your point for you then you may want to reconsider your point.
But since you're the LYM expert, I'll just go ahead and quote you:
so, you changed your mind? After you roasted me for speaking the truth about that company...that is rich...well, glad to see that even the blind may see.
As far as management lying to your face, Klen Brooks, the Dir. of Flight Ops lied directly to my face at a SAPA meeting in SLC and Chip Childs merely obfuscated the truth when he was on my jumpseat. That is at the so-called "Premier" regional. I think it is in the job description of management to lie.
(oh BTW truth is defense to Defamation of Character, so I'm not worried.)
Oh I've definitely become educated, and like most around here I'll be on to bigger and better at the first opportunity. This is just a means unto an end. I've never thought anything different.I don't need a Willy Wonka meme to make my point, I just wanted to use it because frankly I'm sick of your sky-god attitude. You can quote me all you want, but remember the clock ticks, the ignorant become educated, the mindset changes.
I guess I'm confused. Show up, do the job, go home. The 6 day work weeks and living in NE are starting to get a little old but at least my paycheck is better than some other Navajo guys. Ultimately it's a means to an end.Sigh... you're not getting it. I give up. I concede to your loving and understanding nature of the entire situation at this place.
Oh, OK. So, management got good, then bad again... Could it be your blinders came off?I did roast you before, however it was for things that happened 5ish years ago, not stuff that was going on now. What I wrote earlier was the truth at the time. But as I stated before times change.
Oh, OK. So, management got good, then bad again... Could it be your blinders came off?
Funny how the more mature I got, the smarter my dad became.
So key lime good? Or key lime bad? I can't keep track.
The short version: some of us realize that business is just business and not personal. If you don't like how some people do business, realize it's not about you and find someone else to do business with.I'm so confused

Best I can come up with on short notice.
Man, it's statements like these that make me miss the irrefutable omniscience of my 20s. You heard it here first folks, if huggies said it, it must be true.Spending 20k in lawyers to make 10k back, isn't business, it's personal. Damn shame because it did sound like Key Lime was headed down the right track to be a decent place to hang your hat for a while. However, seeing how they played a JC member, I'd say not so much still.
Kilo, I've tried my best. I ran my mouth a bit where I shouldn't have and I'm sorry for it. Ultimately it feels like my worst sin is being a glass half full kinda guy.If you're still confused after sky-god's reply, shoot me a PM if you want more info. I'll be happy to share.
