No, training is not training. Buying your job because you have money while the guy/gal without is paying his/her dues working their butts off to get what they got is DIRTY.
I may be wrong but I think (and have heard) people in hiring positions will go out of their way to hire someone who worked their way up instead of paying their way. But then again, I've only met and talked to a small cross section of the industry.

Wassup Pples yall need to holla show sum luv"-Wha? Get a dictionary.

i got ya! See i was under the impression that the training u recieved was up to par and acceptable be it expensive

they call it training....Yea maybe you are learning some things about the airplane, but that is their excuse to not have to pay someone to sit in that seat.....They are holding the bait for druling kids with more money than sense....Its really a slap in the face to people who work hard to get where they are in the industry and programs like this do nothing but bring it down and force us to work for lower wages.
But, but, but, I get to fly a TURBOPROP and they even let me wear the uniforms with the cool stripes on the shoulders....Chicks dig that kind of pilot, i mean afterall the piliot dudes have money :sarcasm:

"Key Lime isn't really a pfj. You can buy time in their airplanes, however you will not get hired if you suck. I worked my way up from the bottom, private through flight instructing then got a job by key lime air. Ive talked to some of the guys that did pay for their training, and honestly, they do have more experience than most people that work their way up from the bottom. Think about it...... When flight instructing, how many times did you take a primary student to mininums? Or take a multi engine student over the mountains in mod turbulence? Never. These guys were lucky to have the cash and get "real life experiance" I dont think its fair to have a group against this type of career advancement."

Hopefully all the newbies got the jist of it, but that explanation points directly at those in other fields that had to work their way through college vs. those that got scholarships or had rich parents.
The negativity about PFJ is that you're actually paying for a legit job someone should be getting paid for. It's denying someone qualified for the position an honest living and helps to degrade the value of future pilots.

What exactly is the deal with key lime? If you're at their mins what do they make you do exactly that is so wrong? I'm asking because I don't know.
