I know this is a bit late but stay away from Barnstormers Flite Sings. It would be a horrible and costly mistake to make. You are wanting to get your II but you will spend at least that much just for 'training' at Barnstormers. If you think that you can just fly a lot and make up the money that you spent for training, you are wrong. I worked there a few years ago. The pay was horrible and there is no way that you can recoup your money that you spent. After working 60-70+ hrs a week (that in no way is the flight time...just the BS time you have to spend waiting around to fly) you will still have to go out and get a second job in order to support yourself. The sad thing is that I was making more at a menial second job then I was flying an airplane. The boss/owner at Barnstormers is incompetent. He has no idea how to make a schedule. He has no clue as to what an airplane is (other than the fact that he owns a few). He thinks he knows maintenance issues but a dead cat on the side of the road knows more than him. The last maintenance guy was a good guy but he was swamped with stuff constantly breaking. He is a good mechanic and knows his stuff and will fix things that break but even the best swimmer in the world will drown if hit by a 1000ft tidal wave. He did a good job but when the previous maintenance person was the owners alcoholic brother who could only function while drunk...well, things were in very sad and dangerous shape when the last guy took over. If you do ever work for them, make sure that the boss doesn't skip town before giving you your last paycheck. You may never see it.
High pay-for training cost. Very low pay. Poor maintenance from short cuts in past maintenance due to an alcoholic. Incompetent and uncaring boss. Shady dealings. Beware.
