KCM/TSA question for leisure travel

Mmmm... nope.

KCM is designed to pull trusted travelers out of the regular TSA lines to move them faster. Us getting through without a full groping is just an added benefit.

That's pre-check isn't it? KCM is for crewmembers, pre-check is for passengers, yes?

Crew members are allowed to use KCM for domestic personal travel. Not sure where you’re getting it’s only for operating crew members.

I never said they weren't. But that's not what KCM was intended for. The intent was to prevent flight delays and disruptions by expediting crews to their aircraft.

What it was initially intended for doesn’t matter, only what it has become. A way to remove already vetted individuals from the general security mess so as to allow better use of resources.

Do you really think DHS gives a hoot about flight delays and disruptions... especially when countered by a public perception of a potential decrease in security?

CrewPass had nothing to do with operations and everything to do with shortening the line at security.
