I'm looking at you.
A couple of drunken nights ago I'm on the interwebs and found a company that advertises Lears with offices at LRO and, here's where the memory gets fuzzy...additional offices at CHS, or LCAE. Am I crazy, prehaps my dreams are too vivid?
If not does this sound familiar to anyone? I'm off to LRO now to ask around but I don't think I'll have much luck due to my crazyiness.

Any help is always appreciated!

Unfortunately I don't. Which I realize is asking a question with almost no answer. I thought I'd give it one last try with the JC, its eyes being everywhere.

So I had half the information wrong about them. Based CAE...what the skinny with these folks? Anybody...anybody at all?
 
Thats what I was thinking Mikecweb. I saw a copyright of 2013 on one of their pages and thought "what the hey, I'll dig around a bit". I enjoy being unemployed (enjoying the fruits of my overseas labor) but man am I bored as poop. Want to stay in the Tennessee or South Carolina, or even head up the Alaska area for a 6-8 month contract. I might even be tempted to *gasp* work someplace a year!
 
I don't, I'm sorry, just a dumb airline guy when it comes to this. There was a group looking for captains on a light jet on climb 350, but that was months ago. Just apply to Boeing man, tell them you love shucking oysters, you'll be fine.
 
Ha! Thats what all the neighbors keep telling me. I try to keep a straight face, tell them that I was originally hired as a 777 demo pilot, showed up the current one on a demo flight and they didn't invite me back. (You can roll it, pour your tea AND eat your sushi-whats the big deal?!).

I'm in no rush to get back to the grind. I had (what I thought) was a most productive conversation with the D.O. at GF Air on Friday and have a phone interview early next week. The Google is not giving up their secrets as easily as I had hoped.

There's this place. At CAE. They're closed now, methinks. But...they've got a passel of Lears. ;)

That's Bankair above. The check biz at least is all done. But you could buy a bunch of cheap Lears and start a cut-rate charter Co. Buy up all of Airnet's too. Become a market making broker, corner the market, set the global price point for Lears! Mwahahaha!
 
Possibly the best Mitsi pilot I ever saw was a Bankair dude. He picked me up in PNS (or was it JAX?) when the 99 broke for the millionth time. Now, I'm a freaking stud in the Mitsi (just ask me), but he flew that thing like he stole it. To the point that I was like "haha! No way he gets down from this alt and speed! I am supreme!". Then he gently kissed the TDZ. Guy had about four teeth, a neckbeard, and a uniform shirt that made him look like he'd slept in a dryer, but Christ could he fly.

Was this the one who started taxiing once he had one fired up and completed the rest of the start sequence and before takeoff check while taxiing at 50 knots and gnawing a chaw the size of a baseball?

I was wondering why those were sitting there. Drove by it a month ago, don't think any of them were complete airframes. I figured the MU-2's were leftovers from Air 1st since they're based down the road in Aiken.
 
Yeah the "other" Air 1st was out there. Probably still is. Last I heard the "real" Air 1st (RoughRider, baby) is still crawling along like the unkillable cockroach-cowboys they are out in Tulsa. Think it's just the D/O, now. Sad, sad thing. Stupid Check21.

Didn't realize that was the real Air 1st, saw one of their planes holding short when I landed in TUL last week. Seemed to have a bunch on their ramp.
