KC-135 down, another damaged

One 190th Refueling Wing, Kansas Air Guard at Forbes/Topeka E-model 135, hit the wake turbulence of a preceding -135 while in trail formation during Desert Storm. The resultant Dutch rolls that occurred caused two of the J57 engines and pylons on the left side of the jet to separate and fall to the desert floor. Crew recovered with just the right side engines successfully. Keep in mind, this was a lesser powered and more rare E-model -135 this happened to, not the excess thrust R model, or much lesser thrust A model at least. Impressive.

5 more -135’s hit on the ground and damaged by missile attack on Prince Sultan Air Base.
Glad I've paid so much in taxes all these years to watch American lives and my tax dollars thrown away by a group of spoiled, rich child rapists throwing a temper tantrum and waging wars of aggression on behalf of a genocidal ally to distract from their crimes.

The really funny thing is that we had a choice, and we chose evil. And now we're going to have boots on the ground fighting a stupid, unjustifiable war while we rip the US apart and turn it into a fascist state to remind the citizenry of their place.

Die well, I guess.

Has there been any information to help explain what occurred? Did these two collide with each other, or was a third aircraft involved? The damage to the vertical stabilizer doesn't align with traditional damage from SAM or AAA.

See the rumors discussed above of a potential head on mid-air

Hey, listen, we did other stuff too! We <checks notes> more or less gave up on science as a country?

•, that wasn't the good example I was looking for... uhhh, we built some really badass fighter planes? • - no, they periodically segfault and couldn't shoot the gun for awhile. Well? Uh... I know, a lot of people got really rich! Oh, only a few got rich. • - I don't know? Work with me here.

Wouldn't it be grounded right now?

They were put up for auction last year.

Not sure if they were purchased..

Omega (I think) is a company that contracts air refueling for the DoD (well DoW now)

Though I believe they are limited to certain air spaces.
