I started my career at Kalitta and was there almost 7 years, 3 of which as a Flight Follower (a.k.a "dispatcher" in the fullest sense). Good experience, it helped me get hired at American last yr. Flight Follower position they look for min 3-5 yrs domestic dispatch or any International for sure. The Quality Auditor position is just that, audits misc dept records such as arrive fuel stats. The Flight Intl Coordinator is a good starting position, arrange all overflight permits. Operations Assisant pay like $11-14/hourly updates records, takes a/c call in times, and answers the main phone.
So if you can stand Michigan winters, its a good experience builder or place for a career if you choose. Most positions pay salary 40k to start and top at 50k max, raises avg 5% every 4 yrs so pretty stagnant. To be honest management Can be unprofessional and abusive at times, so you need tough skin sometimes but the HR dept is doing better to fix that in last few years. A few more bad apples to fire yet. Layoffs cycle the bottom 25% of all depts every lil dip in the economy so be aware. Cargo industry is a pretty unstable beast. I barely missed the cut twice, so be flexable its aviation. Best of luck!
