Kalitta 727 FO

2 hour callout (1 hour to get to the plane and 1 hour to get it in the air)

Based in YIP. Crews are responsible for getting to yip on their own by their report time. ( they do have a lot of jumpseat agreements). Lodging provided in base for crews, that is one huge perk for commuters.

Thanks for the info, one last thing, is it on call 24/7? How does the schedule work?

Yes, you are call 24/7 during your 16 days on. When you off you are off. There are also minimum of 2 24 hour rest periods during those 16 days. The schedule is 16 on straight the 12 off straight.

I worked with them during last years Aviation Career Expo and they're looking for a very specific type of candidate.

Doug, did you with Kalitta Air (747's) or Kalitta Charters II (727's & DC-9's)?

727 time, jet time, large aircraft time, cargo time, are all a plus, in my opinion...

The horses are just one item Kalitta Charters II hauls.

Kalitta Air AFAIK. Captain Haver and I can't remember the other gentleman's name.

How do they do that under 121? I thought 24/7 reserve for 121 went away after the Whitlow interpretation?

Nope, 121 Supplimental allows it...

How have you been. I haven't been out that way with any significant layovers in sometime. I'll eventually get some time off out your way and look you up.

Do you know if you will be flying into the hub during peak this December?
